Of the following three dead-brand pickups, which would be your top pick and why?
A. Hudson Terraplane
B. Studebaker K10 Fast Express
C. International Harvester D2

The Hudson Terraplane. Good enough for Amelia Earhart, Orville Wright, and John Dillinger, good enough for me!

That’s a tough one. My gut reaction is the Hudson because you never see one. But with the Stude and the Binder you at least have SOME chance of finding parts.

Can I take a dead Mercury instead?

Hudson for sure, though I’d prefer the Big Boy model. They’re stylistically my favorite truck of all time.

Terraplane for me for styling reasons alone.

Out of these three I’d take the International. International IMO made consistently good looking trucks that were tough and reliable. They’re also underrated and undervalued IMO.
Edit: Hot Take time, most people claim that the Hudson is the greatest looking truck ever, I disagree. It is a very elegant art de co design but the longer I look at it the more I see little things that are off. Other manufactures did it better.

IH still makes trucks. Not sure it should count as an orphan...
